Shhh, I'm listening

Shhhh, don't make a sound. No, I said shhhh  but you're moving your mouse.  You have a very bad habit. You need to learn to read without moving the mouse. It's very disconcerting to those of us that are lost in a story.

One...two...three words and shoosh, there goes that mouse across the screen. It is not the minute sound of the pitter patter of little feet inside your computer.

In here, where I am, it sounds like the roar of Niagara Falls and it makes me feel like I am inside a barrel that's going to crash on the rocks any second now.

I cannot concentrate with that mouse shooshing in and out of every noun and verb. See what you've done. now I cannot remember where I was. Let's see ...Oh yes the girl was about to...

...there you've done it again..no don't tap your finger on the computer. That makes me feel as if I'm lost in a drum and bugle practice.  Maybe if you tried it with some rhythm and some soft music.

How about Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 21. I really like that. The second movement,"Elvira Madigan", will slow your mouse. In fact google it and then put your hands in your pocket and really get lost in the music.

There, isn't that out of this world?  Ahhhh, now I can get lost in my book again.
Oh yes, that young lady..

I wrote this as sort of a tongue in cheek slam at the government and their spying on the American citizens.  Maybe you don't think it is serious but, think about the IRS and the way they have targeted people they do not agree with...political.

I guess that's okay as long as it isn't you or me. But, who's to say what happens next week. Someone doesn't like your blog...your to liberal or to conservative?

Do you know that the government can use your computer to spy on you. There might be someone in there right now. They can tap into your  phone any time they want to.

Don't think they will?

The President denied spying on Americans without proper paperwork.
They were and they are.

I don't think the President was aware of it and I am sure that he personally didn't order it but when someone has the ability...sometimes they do it...your boyfriend wants to know if your are being honest.
Someone wants to make a little money on the side by selling info....on you...your friends...

Did you know they just caught the guy who tagged the Hunting Beach police cars because he clicked "like" on a Face Book picture.

Miss "Teen USA" apparently has some photos of her out there because someone hacked her web cam.

Maybe this short tongue in cheek story is not so tongue in cheek....

Hey slow that mouse down...I'm trying to concentrate in here.

and...oh yeah...make sure you have something on when you write your blog...

  1. This is so cute Grizz =) Sam has his mouse set on super sonic speed I can't even see the pointer when I use the computer let alone control it, it is like trying to wrestle a piglet in mud to click anything

    1. I'll bet his mouse is like a Le mans' race car. I can imagine the noise inside his computer. I went to one of those races once. Had great tickets right by the finish line. I never saw a car only streaks of color and the sounds of engines that rattled the stands.
      No reading a book there.

    2. I have never been to a race before I doubt I would see anything but blurry light either or hear anything at all after or during. I lose my voice whenever I go anywhere loud (I have a quiet voice it is very hard for me talk over noise but for some reason people insist on talking) so I would leave visually impaired, deaf, and mute

  2. Great take on this prompt, it is all too true.
We used to go to NASCAR races all of the time, the epitomy of fast. We had great seats, so could see the entire track. Oddly enough, one year a woman did read through the race. I am a reader, but not at a NASCAR event!
Thanks for this thought provoking post!

  3. Yes, perhaps tongue in cheek and perhaps this is spot on. I'm thinking that spot on is closer.

    Have a terrific day. ☺

  4. Excellent use of the prompt, GS! This would be funny if it wasn't so very real and disturbing. We know the capability is there, and where there is a way, there is always someone of ill intent with a will to take advantage of the situation. I fear that we are heading in a dark direction, yet I am unwilling to limit my access and use of the Internet. It will be a sad day when I find that I must do that, I'm praying that it never comes, but I suspect that is naïve on my part. Thank you for an excellent Two Shoes Tuesday post!

  6. I think the sound of breaking bonds of velcro are more disturbing than the sound of a moving mouse. Remember the cat is nearby for help.

The IRS is doing a wonderful job considering all the funds that have been cut from them. There is sooo much abuse of Non-profits that it isn't even funny. I hope the next time the dems have control they will not allow any non profit businesses. The term is an oximoron in itself. Political parties paying taxes might get our government back on a sound footing.

    1. awe yes but most computers aren't manipulated with velcro.
I am not sure about the wonderful job the IRS is doing.
but I do agree about the non-profit status...in fact I would vote to eliminate them all.
I would not just eliminate the ones I politically disagree with.

  8. Umm, I don't have a webcam, so that doesn't matter. I liked your tonque and cheek, LOL, that sounds like my brain, always scattered around all over the place when i'm trying to concentrate, or write. On a serious note, I really don't like being spied on either, but I can't do anything about it. I have nothing to hide! : )
