She cried

She was immune
you know
the good Samaritan law
couldn't be held responsible
she tried
you know
all the cpr
but he was already blue
she cried
even though they said
you're not responsible
she cried
her mind said
he died and
I did not help
no matter what they said
she cried
she was immune...you know
the good Samaritan law
but in her mind
she wasn't immune
she cried

  1. The fast pace gallop of this piece mirrors the panic felt. Death even of a stranger is still traumatic.

  2. It was the involvement that did it. Had she walked on by, she would not have cried. Too many people walk on by - we need more criers.

  3. Sometimes when she cries it becomes all there is left to do..penetrates the bones like a precordial thump..

  4. At times like this we feel so helpless, and yet I like to believe that life happens as it should, and it was not her time to be able to change the outcome, what mattered was that she took the time to care. A moving piece GS!
