Funny, I found this kind of sad, that the heart was tossed in the junk drawer. I kept mine in a special, silk-lined drawer for years until Lex came along... A strong poem, Grizz! Thanks, Amy http://sharplittlepencil.com/2012/06/14/we-interrupt-your-regularly-scheduled-programming/
yes it is sad. I'm glad you found a better place to store yours but then I have always found women to be a wee bit wiser...except of course the one who tore my heart apart
Thanks for stopping by my place. What a unique little poem. The junk drawer may have been a good location for a while, but maybe you'll want to move it to a different setting -- just so it doesn't get lost, or accidentally thrown out.

One thinks about the things found in a junk drawer, all can be found and put to use on a moment's notice though they seem quiet inconsequential when taken as a whole. Love has it's place in life, and I suspect it will not linger in the junk drawer for long.
having love at the ready ... even in a junk drawer. wonderful imagery.
ReplyDeletethanks WP...I appreciate your dropping in and commenting
DeleteIt's always a good idea to keep some love handy. You never know whose love might come a knocking.
ReplyDeleteYes and by putting it in the junk drawer you are aale to shuffle through it now and then.
DeleteAn enchanting little poem. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteThanks joared....I guess I could lock it in a cedar lined hope chest and at least it would smell nice...
DeleteYou never know when it might come in handy! We live in hope!
ReplyDeletethanks Keith... reminds of a poem that says 'hope springs eternal in the human breast...."by Alexander Pope
Deletedon't tell him that I hid mine in a junk drawer...
