  6. sounds like a friend we all like to have, as it is written in the past tense, I am wondering it might be that this friend turn on you, the line "I trusted him" always seems to me to be a truth we all said after a betrayal but I am sure that is not your intention with this poem, I often read too much into things

your thought is interesting. i was trying to indicated what a real friend would be. someone to trust with your heart and soul. it is true that the betrayal issue tugs at us all. it is also true that many blogger's short prompted stories end up in betrayal (including mine). maybe betrayal is a bigger part of our lives than we are aware of. maybe i should have used the present tense "trust". i'll ask my friend
    thank you for your thoughts

A true friend. One who listens, who doesn't judge and accepts us as we are. I dream of knocking on such a door!
