friend for " Carry on tuesday"

"Is there anybody there?" said the traveller, knocking on the moonlit door
i opened my soul to him he listened to what I said he heard what I said he believed what I said i trusted him he did not lecture me he did not try to change me he accepted me i trusted him he was my friend

  5. It seems it's harder to make true friends these days because the concept of what friendship is has been lost to a me first generation, but those rare gems like your piece depicted do exist and they are treasures because they see beyond your flaws and accept you anyway.

  7. sounds like a friend we all like to have, as it is written in the past tense, I am wondering it might be that this friend turn on you, the line "I trusted him" always seems to me to be a truth we all said after a betrayal but I am sure that is not your intention with this poem, I often read too much into things

    your thought is interesting. i was trying to indicated what a real friend would be. someone to trust with your heart and soul. it is true that the betrayal issue tugs at us all. it is also true that many blogger's short prompted stories end up in betrayal (including mine). maybe betrayal is a bigger part of our lives than we are aware of. maybe i should have used the present tense "trust". i'll ask my friend
